Now the national icon will be a quarter bigger. The extension will be inaugurated on 7 April, when HM Queen Mary and Environment Minister Magnus Heunicke will visit the area. HM Queen Mary and Environment Minister Magnus Heunicke will participate in a marking of the expansion, where they will unveil HM The King's monogram on one of the new, red gates and release two deer in the new part of the Zoo. The two deer are descendants of the deer in the original zoo, which was fenced off by Frederik III.
