Official opening of Georg Jensen’s new “Flagship Store” 16.30 The Crown Prince Couple participate in the opening of Georg Jensen’s first Flagship Store in Munich. There will be an official welcome by Georg Jensen’s CEO David Chu, after which the Crown Prince Couple will preside over the official opening of the store. Dinner for the business delegation 19.30 The Crown Prince Couple participate in a gala dinner for the participating Danish companies and other guests in the palace Residenz. During the dinner, there will be remarks by the trade and development cooperation minister and a classical music element with works by Carl Nielsen on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the composer’s birth. Thursday, 21 May Grand Opening of the business delegation’s programme in Munich 09.00 The Crown Prince Couple participate in the opening ceremony of the business delegation’s programme with 450 Danish and German guests, including company leaders and decision-makers. At the arrangement, there will be, among other things, speeches by the trade and development cooperation minister and a representative from Munich’s municipal government. Visit at the sector seminar Healthy Living 10.00 The Crown Prince Couple visit the sector seminar Healthy Living with the theme ”Rethinking Healthcare”. The seminar creates the setting for an open dialogue about the challenges and opportunities in the health care area in Denmark as well as Germany. The seminar will give the Danish participants the opportunity to introduce themselves to the leading German actors in southern Germany’s health care system. Programme for HRH The Crown Prince Visit at the sector seminar Sustainable Living in BMW Pavilion 10.45 The Crown Prince visits the conference “The Future of Smart and Sustainable Cities”. The objective of the conference is to present examples of the competencies of selected Danish companies in the areas of sustainable city planning and energy efficiency in buildings and industry. Programme for HRH The Crown Princess Visit at the joint Tasty and Stylish Living event in Freiheizhalle 10.40 The Crown Princess pays a visit at an event which has the objective of branding Denmark as a design and gastronomy country. The Crown Princess will view an exhibition with tourism businesses, after which there will be a presentation of and examples of Danish food products and Danish gastronomy put on by a Danish chef and a German chef. The Crown Princess will take part in the last part of the presentation of the food. Joint programme Opening of Fritz Hansen exhibition 12.00 The Crown Prince Couple preside over the opening of the Fritz Hansen exhibition arrangement with the German partner Designfunktion. The exhibition is an homage to Arne Jacobsen’s Series 7 chair, which this year marks its 60th jubilee. At the opening, there will be comments by Fritz Hansen CEO Jacob Holm. Business luncheon 13.00 The Crown Prince Couple participate in a business luncheon for all German and Danish participants at the day’s sector seminars. During the luncheon, there will be speeches by the Danish ambassador in Germany and a Danish business representative. Visit at Fraunhofer Institute 15.00 The Crown Prince Couple participate in a visit at Europe’s largest research institute with a view to building further on the institute’s existing cooperation with Denmark and to defining news areas for cooperation. During the visit, the Crown Prince Couple will be introduced to the Fraunhofer Institute by professor Alexander Verl and professor Jakob Rehof.
