In Japan, Kumamon is the best known of all the country's mascots. It comes from the city and region of the same name, located on the country's southernmost island of Kyushu, which will host the Women's Handball World Cup in December 2019. No, it isn't. Countess Alexandra was patron of the choir from 1995 to 2014. Since then she also ended her patronage for UNICEF. And I think it's very likely that CP Mary will take over that one too in a couple of years perhaps (she already had an event with UNICEF last year). UNICEF used to be under the patronage of Queen Ingrid, then Queen Margrethe who gave it to Princess Alexandra. But traditionally it was under the patronage of the Queen (Consort).
