Unannounced event for Mary with The Mary Foundation....not only did she attend the launch of the new Lift initiative...she also gave a speech.  An event that should have been on her official calendar.  I see 2023 will be more of the same.  Here are some screenshots from the Mary Foundation's IG stories

Thank goodness BB finally covered the event briefly and The Mary Foundation posted about it.  If not, no one would have known Mary had an official engagement yesterday which failed to be put on her calendar or covered/acknowledged by the DRF social media in any way.  Maybe if she had gone to the theater instead to meet an actress it would have been posted on all DRF platforms...🤔....but goodness forbid an important event like Mary's gets attention.

I agree....I guess the court goes for the: "The overview of official program items for the royal family mainly reflects activities where there is press access. The royal family also participates in a number of meetings and events with, among other things, patronages, organizations and foundations."

The issue is that it happens with events where there is press access.  More like events where THEY give press access it seems...which seems to be less and less for Mary and Frederik.  The phrase "something stinks in Denmark" seems to be more and more accurate.  I had hopes that 2023 would be different, but seems to be same ____, different year.

The Frederik is MIA for days on end...who know what he's doing.

Found this on Facebook, posted one day ago.

"Noah is eagerly awaiting his meeting today with Crown Prince Frederik, to whom he will present a small tupilak from Greenland and from the Trap family's collection. He did not make it to the reception for the book Trap Denmark's 6th publication, "Trap Grønland" in November at the University of Copenhagen. A book of which Crown Prince Frederik is the patron. Mom is proud"

26 January

Her Royal Highness the Crown Princess today welcomed CEO Laura Frigenti of Global Partnership for Education (GPE), who spoke about the organisation's work in promoting education in collaboration with other relevant partners.

Denmark has had a long-term cooperation with GPE. The organisation estimates that there are about 244 million children and young people worldwide who do not go to school. More than 80% of them live in the poorest countries, which are also often plagued by conflict or drought, starvation and floods.

It is important to focus on lack of access to education and lack of quality in teaching, because education is central to creating future opportunities and development.

February 2nd

Mary attended the final training session of nurses participating in The Mary Foundation's latest initiative Life Without Violence, Parents with children.  She gave a short speech seen in the video link and spoke to the participants.

You'd think this would be on her calendar or does the DRF not think this is something worthwhile to highlight. 🤔🤨

Thank for the photos.

IIRC, the DRF used to highlight more of the Mary Foundation events.

Yes...it seems that slowly during the last year or so it has dwindled down to nothing.  This is the second such event re the launch of a new initiative that the DRF calendar is not included.  Thank goodness for the Mary Foundation social media and the other organizations/individuals involved posting.  If not, we would never know about it.  And you'd think they would want to highlight her work with her own foundation and the important issues it tackles.  Unless they want the opposite for some reason.

from last week but posted yesterday

"Nice visit in the sharp winter sun 😊 ☀️ H.K.H. The Crown Princess stopped by the City Hall in connection with the fact that we, together with four other councils, are participating in the project "Together without violence - Parents of small children", which the Mary Foundation has initiated together with Ole Kirk's Foundation and Dialogue against Violence."

20. February 2023

Two weeks ago, Turkey and Syria experienced violent earthquakes that have so far claimed tens of thousands of lives. Several relief organizations have stepped in to help, including the Red Cross in Denmark, which earlier today gave His Royal Highness the Crown Prince a briefing on the serious situation.

The Crown Prince was received in front of the national office in Copenhagen by Secretary General of the Red Cross Anders Ladekarl, who informed about the work of the Red Cross in the area and the general situation after the earthquake. In addition, disaster manager Bjarke Skaanning participated through a video connection from Turkey, from where he submitted a situation report. So did the head of state Ravia Harribans, who had been dismissed from the emergency relief work in Syria.

🇺🇦 Several Ukrainian soldiers who have been seriously injured have come to Denmark since the beginning of the war - exactly one year ago - to receive treatment at a Danish hospitals. His Royal Highness the Crown Prince visited Rigshospitalet today, where three Ukrainian war veterans, who have been medically evacuated to Denmark, are undergoing rehabilitation.

The EU's first medical evacuation was launched back in March 2022. Since then, more than a thousand Ukrainian patients in need of continued treatment or emergency medical care have been transferred to European hospitals. In Denmark, it is the National Board of Health, which, in collaboration with the regions, distributes the patients to the country's hospitals.

On Monday H.R.H.  The Crown Prince attened a briefing on Save the Children's work to combat digital violations and abuse of children. Among other things, the patron got an insight into the work of SletDet Rådgivningen and AnmeldDet, because just as the digital takes up more and more space in the lives of children and young people, it also does so in Save the Children's work.

Since 2008, I have been involved in maternal mortality and followed global developments.

This morning I participated in a round table discussion with the Maternity Foundation and UNFPA as well as other public and private actors. Here we were briefed on the latest global figures for maternal mortality. It was sad and frustrating to learn that the numbers - despite some positive progress - are not far from the numbers I was met with in 2008.

It is difficult to understand when this kind of death can be prevented and avoided in the vast majority of cases. Globally, there is a need for greater focus and accelerated action in broad partnerships.

Because no woman should risk losing her life by giving life.

✍️ H.K.H. The Crown Princess.
