Second unannounced event this week for M&F.  I wonder why neither was on the calendar, especially since both visits involved their patronages.  But sounds like a very important meeting and also follow up to her hospital visit in India as patron of the Maternity Foundation.  Glad Mary was able to post about her round table today.  And that we got to see Frederik at Save the Children as well in relation to another very important topic.

Added: Finally know that the meeting at the US Ambassador's residence w/CP Mary Center and MIT reps took place on Thursday, March 9th

Doesn't even say what day this was. Sounds like a pretty important event.  Maybe it is optically undesirable to have Mary be the one attending these types of events so it just gets posted about on the below the radar after the fact.

And, she looks great in the photos.

⬆️ While I am glad, that we get to see photos from behind the scenes work, I don't understand why they have stopped adding them to the official calendar after the fact...? They used to do that a couple of years ago. Well, at least some of them, not all. 🙄

I've given up trying to come up with a reasonable reason for events for Frederik and Mary and am about to reach for my tin hat.

Her Royal Highness The Crown Princess attended today in a working meeting with the Director-General of the United Nations Environment Organisation (UNEP), Inger Andersen.

UNEP is at the forefront of putting biodiversity and nature protection on the agenda among the UN's 193 member countries. At the meeting, the Crown Princess received, among other things, a briefing on the organization's work for a binding, global agreement on the elimination of plastic pollution, in which Denmark is a major player.

The second event, receiving the Speaker of The House of Commons was added to the calendar after the fact.

Both should have been added tbh, but one is better than none.  And at least we got a photo of Frederik.

23. August

Putting this here.  Frederik and Christian made an unannounced visit to Christanborg for a tour and visit.  They were with a TV crew from DR. It was confirmed by the court that the visits are related to preparations for Christian's 18th birthday.  The article has no photos

The EB article has a bit more information it seems but my Google translate was not cooperating.  There is one photo here.

"With a TV crew from DR, the two princes probably followed on the heels of the Speaker of the Folketing, Søren Gade (V), who drew and talked about constitutional amendments, constitutional monarchy and the royal house's relationship with parliament."

"A planned visit to the Danish Parliament's Royal Lodge was thus included in today's programme.

Prior to this, there were also stops in the elegant Conference Room and in the Folketing's most active 'workshop', the red-painted corridor on the second floor with committee rooms and group rooms."

"'The Royal House's Communications Department confirms that the Crown Prince and Prince Christian are currently visiting a number of central state institutions as part of the preparations for the Prince's 18th birthday.'"

How exciting! we get a documentary too

Very glad and pleasantly shocked that it is Frederik that is doing this with Christian.  Christian needs the guidance of his parents in these things in the way they do things now and with a look to the future.  And important for him to see how his father handles these duties.
