I am fine with the Regent Couple. I know in Danish they don't use it anymore to differentiate between the old and the new couple. But King Couple sounds odd to me (although I didn't have a problem with Crown Prince Couple) And royal couple could be any couple of the DRF.

AFAIR there were never many pics in connection with this event. There was more info once because of the new gala uniform for ladies. And I think once we saw F+M arrive when the dinner was held in Fredensborg Palace. But when I searched Kongehuset's website not one gallery came up.

I have the feeling this isn't going to change, only the venue is different.

It was a bit like getting close to the past when we visited Roskilde Cathedral yesterday afternoon. The impressive cathedral contains a royal time journey of over 500 years. From the beautiful Epiphany Chapel with impressive tombstones for Christian III and Frederik II, over Christian IV's magnificent burial chapel and relatively modest coffin to the Glücksburgernes Chapel, where Christian IX and also Frederik VIII and Christian X and their queens are buried . The visit was made no less lively by the fact that we again had Thomas Thulstrup, who is the museum director of Kongernes Samling, with us as a dedicated tour guide. Our history and culture are an important part of who we are. We can read about it and read up on it, but it is still something very special to walk around it, as we did yesterday afternoon in the cathedral.

To me it seems also slightly odd to list an HM after an HRH (with the exception of the Crown Prince of course). At the church service the former Queen was actually seated before the younger children of the new King.

I vaguely remember a game in Spain which Mary attended and Dk also lost. One handballer refused to take the silver medal.

Because of the tsunami 2004 Mary's first New Year Court was in 2006, after Christian's birth, and she did indeed wear the blue gown, but to the first court not the second.

 

But AFAIR the brown top is not the same. She wore a patterned coat over a brown dress to the second court.

Or do they mean the first time Mary attended the third court (for the patronages)? Because in the first years she was excluded from this event and then started to give a reception for her own patronages.
